Perhaps one of the simplest ways to create a beautiful bathroom design for your home is to add tile to the space. No only is tile one of the easiest materials to clean, but tile floors can also withstand moisture and humidity well, in addition to being one of the most eye-catching bathroom flooring options to consider.
Depending on your style, creating a colorfully patterned tile bathroom floor that you won’t be able to resist drawing your eyes toward can be easy and doesn’t have to cost a fortune. There are countless tile flooring possibilities that can infuse color, pattern, and a dash of something out of the ordinary into a space. Everything from black and white patterns, to geometric and tessellated, and even Moroccan and Spanish-inspired design patterns can work to create beautiful flooring options for everyone looking to update their current bathroom.
It may just be me being short and always looking at the ground, but I feel like every time I step into a restroom, I always seem to take notice of the flooring first. Plus, I’ve seen enough Life Alert commercials in my time to know that you definitely don’t want to break a hip not looking where you’re stepping while exiting the shower. Moral of the story: people notice bathroom flooring, so why not make it a statement?
One of my personal favorite bathroom tile designs would have to be hex tiles, sometimes known as penny tiles. I think that no matter which style of home you might be living in, hex tiles will almost always stand out in any bathroom design, from traditional to modern. A monochromatic black and white color scheme looks great with a white hex tile floor, while a cobalt blue hex tile floor adds something special to a contemporary coastal bath design.
