Milk BarAdvice: If you are ever in New York on a work trip, and it’s been a very long day, and all you want to do is sit in your hotel room in your underwear and eat ice cream, I very much suggest stopping by a Milk Bar shop to pick up a soft serve with cereal flakes on top. Since you may not live in New York and ordering soft serve online has not quite yet been perfected, you can order some Milk Bar cookies online (they are delicious and will also do the trick)

BaubleBarThe other day I saw these exact same earrings on a woman and I immediately fell into an obsessive love with them. They’re like sleepy chandeliers that dangle from your ears! Super pretty (and reasonably priced).
BastideThis is, hands down, the best shower gel I’ve ever tried in my life. And let me tell you, I’ve tried a lot of shower gels in my day. It’s got this fabulous rose scent that’s bright and fresh — not overly sweet or cloying, like some floral bath products. When I used it in the shower, I closed my eyes and for a moment I felt like I was showering outside, amongst the rose bushes. This shower gel is truly that transformative. It’s got a luxurious price tag to boot, but if you want to pamper yourself with a fancy body wash, this is THE ONE.  
Free PeopleI know I should be thinking about my fall wardrobe, but I’m still in full-on sundress mode. I live in L.A., and we’ve got lots of hellishly hot days ahead of us. I love-love this sweet little striped number, and I plan on getting a lot of mileage out of this baby into September.

Guest Bath: Before and After

Happy New Year! There will be posts all over blogland about New Year’s resolutions and setting goals and all of that productive stuff, but I didn’t feel like talking about that today, so how about a fun Before and After?   We can get organized and make resolutions later.  Actually I’m not much of a resolutions girl. Now that Christmas is over,  I can finally get around to showing all my rooms since we jumped right into the Holidays just as I was getting finished up.  My roommate, Rhonda, uses this bathroom and I got it looking good for her.  She loves it and I’m really proud of how it came out, especially since I didn’t gut it, but worked with what I had.  I will probably give it a new vanity one day, but for now, I’m totally happy with it. Here’s a reminder of where this bathroom started.  Pretty blah and uninspiring and it definitely needed a little repair and painting.
