Baby Shower Gifts: Bath Time Theme

Welcome to our second feature in our Baby Shower Gifts series. These gifts today are all about bath time!

Although Baby won’t be taking baths regularly for a few months, that doesn’t mean that you can’t shop with that theme in mind. In fact, some of the cutest gifts are all about the baths. Plus, with water safety being so important, I think that this can be a very practical theme gift as well.

As with each of the posts in this series, I will present a $30, $50, and $100 budget bundle. That way, you are sure to find some items that fit your comfort level.

Before you start shopping based on my recommendations, I would highly encourage you to check your soon-to-be mama’s registry. Although these are products that I like and recommend, there is a reason she spent hours on her swollen feet, roaming the aisles of her baby store with a registry scanner in hand, trying to hold off on hobbling over to the restroom. If at all possible, get the items that she has requested, as she has probably registered for them for a reason. Hopefully, though, she used our registry guides to help her.

For a $30 budget, you can still get quite a lot of adorable and useful gear! Although hooded towels aren’t necessary, we always gravitate towards them if we have the option. We especially love this one from Circo (available at Target) with the cute duck head. To continue the theme, we found this SKIP HOP SPOUT COVER (we have the whale version and love it). To finish the gift, these ERIC CARLE BATH TOYS are perfect for the future reader as well.

With a $50 budget, you can still get some great, useful items. These are all favorites of ours, and they have made our lives much easier. Once the twins transitioned out of their first bath tub (when they had a little more neck control), we started using the ANGELCARE BATH SEAT and we loved it! It safely cradled both of the babies perfectly, while allowing them to be surrounded by water. We also love our SKIP HOP DUNK BATH TOYS, which we mostly use as cups to wash off soap. Our twins love to chew on these, however, and they always try to pull them out of our hands when we are using them. This is why we are glad they come in a 3-pack. Finally, I can’t say enough about these BABIES R US WASHCLOTHS. They are oh-so-soft and lightweight, but they don’t feel like they will fall apart any time soon. Plus, the price is amazing!

For a $100 budget, you can get quite a great deal of useful and eye-popping gifts, starting with the 4MOMS INFANT TUB. I wasn’t expecting to receive this, but I actually got it as a gift from Lindsey (long before I was an editor on The Wise Baby) as a part of  the post “PLAYING SANTA WITH 4MOMS.”  For only $50, this tub is really amazing. Just to have the built in temperature control is worth it, but it also allows the babies to comfortably fit in the tub, and you can adjust the level of the water (as well as let constant fresh water flow in). If you have ever bathed a baby, you know how sore your back can be afterwards, which is why I love our SUMMER INFANT TUB SEAT AND ORGANIZER. This is crucial for us to sit comfortably while bathing the twins, and we love how it folds completely flat for storage. I have also added in a hooded towel (I think the 3 SPROUTS brand has mighty cute ones) and a RUBBER DUCKY SET for additional cuteness.
