Jason International Inc. on Friday introduced Matt Peterson and Paulo Jacuzzi as the Central Arkansas spa manufacturer ’s newly minted executive brass during a ceremony downtown at the Arkansas State of Chamber of Commerce headquarters. The new executive team was announced as longtime company founder , CEO and President Remo Jacuzzi steps aside. He will, however, remain in his post as chairman of the North Little Rock based- based luxury spa brand manufacturer as he relinquishes his day-to-day responsibilities. Peterson, an Oklahoma native and industry veteran who formerly worked for Whirlpool Corp., York International, and Kitchen Aid Brand , was named president of the Little Rock luxury bath manufacturer while family member Paulo Jacuzzi will serve as executive vice president . “I appreciate the confidence Mr. Jacuzzi has placed in me and others on our team as we strive to deliver the world’s best hydrotherapy products ,” Peterson said, with the elder and younger Jacuzzi fam...

Ted Marules' new bathroom is neither subtle nor cheap. "We had visions of grandeur," he says of the $20,000 renovation to his Houston-area home. "We planned to have some wonderful moments in there." Marules and his wife sprung for all the frills: special- order Spanish tile , marble floors, gold faucets and the Texas- sized whirlpool bathtub . "We got some really nice, fancy stuff, and we spent the damned money for it," says the 53-year-old accident reconstruction expert . "Looks like a Roman whorehouse, but it's beautiful." We’re making progress in the A-frame bathroom! Through the designing, demolition and re-building of so many bathrooms, I have learned a thing or two along the way but working with this bathroom proves there are always room for surprises. I’ve also never installed or designed a bathroom with quite so much technology, but that ended up being the easy part. I teamed up with Kohler to share the process and a few do’s and don’ts that I used through this remodel. First the progress: We cleared out the old toilet and replaced it with an intelligent toilet. A self-opening, self-flushing, heated seat, cleansing toilet that basically does everything for you! A techy toilet that also leaves you with a cleaner feeling just seems more natural and makes more sense to me. It also goes beautifully with the bath we picked out.
